After graduating college from Washington State University Vancouver with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Professional Writing Certificate, Brooke began her writing career in the business plan industry, where she worked for almost three years. During this time, she honed her writing and research skills and was able to gain significant experience in writing the marketing strategy portion of the plan.
Brooke then began work as a Freelance Marketing Coordinator for a local grocery store chain, where she was able to work in an assistant editing role for the company’s magazine. She also began working directly with social media interaction and communication for the company, while working on other marketing related duties. She worked in this role for a decade. Today, Brooke is a regular freelance blog writer, working for multiple companies around the country on a regular basis. She also oversees several company social media pages on a regular basis, with primary concentration on Facebook management. Brooke has extensive experience working with medical writing and in 2011, co-wrote a book on technology and video game addiction, called Hooked On Games. She also regularly writes for magazines and business journals around the country.
